RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claims of Christina Duarte in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
The law offices of Sergio F. Benedetto, on behalf of their client, Christina Duarte, a City of La Habra resident, filed two bodily injury claims against the City on March 24, 2025, for an unspecified amount. Both claims allege that the claimant sustained bodily injuries caused by La Habra Police Officers during her arrests on October 12, 2024, and on December 6, 2024.
