RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of Ms. Breanna Sabeva in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
On July 21, 2025, an attorney representing Breanna Sabeva, a minor and student at Whittier Christian High School, filed a claim for unspecified damages alleging harassment. The claim states that on January 14, 2025, the claimant was sent inappropriate text messages and was harassed by a Whittier Christian High School staff member.
