RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of Ms. Mary Jo Tezak in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
On July 1, 2025, Mary Jo Tezak, a City of La Habra resident, filed a bodily injury claim for $8,911.00 in medical expenses. The claim alleges that on May 6, 2025, Ms. Tezak tripped and fell on a doormat outside the US Post Office adjacent to City Hall. Ms. Tezak alleges that she sustained injuries to her left eye and both legs.
