On May 19, 2025, the City Council awarded a construction contract to Copp Contracting, Inc., based in Buena Park, California, in the amount of $469,575. This total includes a 20% contingency for the Macy Street Rehabilitation Project, City Project No. 1-R-23.
The project included pavement reconstruction, installation of a new asphalt Rubber Hot Mix (ARHM) pavement cap, new traffic striping and markings, reconstruction of existing driveway approaches and sidewalks along Macy Street from Whittier Boulevard to North City Limits.
City Staff conducted a final inspection and confirmed that all work was completed in accordance with the project plans, specifications, and standards of the City of La Habra.
