APPROVE DENIAL OF LIABILITY CLAIM OF MERCURY INSURANCE A/S/O INOCENCIO MORALES

RECOMMENDATION:


That the City Council deny the claim of Mercury Insurance a/s/o Inocencio Morales in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.

DISCUSSION:

Mr. Inocencio Morales, a City of La Habra resident, filed a claim against the City on December 17, 2025, for $8,375.45. The claim alleges that on November 5, 2025, Mr. Morales’ car was struck and damaged by a La Habra garbage truck.  The claimant has been notified that the garbage vehicle is owned and operated by CR&R Disposal Company.
