That the City Council approve the Notice of Completion for the Old Reservoir Park Block Wall, Project No. 2-P-20, and authorize staff to send for recordation.

On April 19, 2021, the City Council awarded a construction contract to OCLA Construction of Laguna Niguel, California, in the amount of $52,126.80, which includes a 10% contingency for the construction of the Old Reservoir Park Block Wall, Project No. 2-P-20.  The project included the removal of approximately 162 linear feet of existing block wall, grading of the project site, construction of a new block wall, and installation of hydroseed for landscaping in the area.

All improvements associated with the above-mentioned Project have been completed.  Staff conducted a final inspection and found the work to be satisfactory and in compliance with the plans, specifications, and standards of the City of La Habra.  Upon acceptance by the City Council, staff will electronically file a Notice of Completion for recordation at the County Recorder’s Office.  A copy of the Notice of Completion is attached.

The final cost of construction for the Project is $51,620, which is approximately one percent under the approved purchase order amount of $52,126.80.  There are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the Project.
