SUBJECT: APPROVE DENIAL OF LIABILITY CLAIM OF JOSE GONZALEZ

RECOMMENDATION:


That the City Council deny the claim of Mr. Jose Gonzalez in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.

DISCUSSION:

Mr. Jose Gonzalez, a La Habra resident, filed a bodily injury claim on August 23, 2021, for an unspecified amount alleging a dangerous condition of public property.  The claim alleges that on July 29, 2021, at 8:30 p.m., Mr. Gonzalez tripped and fell on uneven pavement of the sidewalk on Francis Street near the corner Juanita Street causing him to sustain injuries.
