RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of Ms. Cecilia Cruz in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
Ms. Cecilia Cruz, a La Habra resident, filed a property damage claim on January 20, 2022, in the amount of $1,400. Ms. Cruz alleges that on December 24, 2021, a City-owned tree fell on the claimant’s garage door and a five-foot tall palm tree causing damage. The tree was located on the parkway at 701 Rye Avenue.
