Ordinance request to accept a grant from Norfolk-Southern Safety First program.
PURPOSE AND BACKGROUND
The City of Lorain, Police Department has been awarded a grant from the Norfolk-Southern Safety First program in the amount of $15,000.00 for assisting in the purchase of a side-by-side Utility Task Vehicle (UTV) which will improve emergency response capabilities to rail-related incidents in the City of Lorain, Ohio.
RECOMMENDATION TO COUNCIL:
Consider for passage.
