AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION OR LEGISLATION TITLE:
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SAFETY/SERVICE TO PURCHASE GASOLINE, FUEL, OIL, AND OTHER PETROLEUM PRODUCTS ALL NEEDED FOR VARIOUS CITY DEPARTMENTS AS LISTED IN SECTION I, THROUGH THE STATE OF OHIO COOPERATIVE PURCHASING PROGRAM, OR FROM A VENDOR WHOSE PRICING IS AT OR BELOW OHIO STATE TERM PRICING, WITHOUT BID, PURSUANT TO RC SECTION 735.053, COMMENCING JANUARY 1, 2025 AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2026.
PURPOSE AND BACKGROUND:
To allow the City of Lorain to purchase petroleum and petroleum products through the State of Ohio Cooperative Purchasing Program or from a vendor whose pricing is at or below that State of Ohio term pricing, without bid, to satisfy the fuel needs of City of Lorain for 2026.
RECOMMENDATION TO COUNCIL:
We recommend Council consider passage of this ordinance.
