WHEREAS, America is celebrating its 250th Birthday and the City of Lorain, in partnership with the Lorain County Veterans Services Commission, the AMVETS Post 47, and the American Legion Post 30 have joined in this celebration, and the City of Lorain wishes to accept said donation; and

WHEREAS, the monetary donation from the Lorain County Veterans Service Commission, the AMVETS Post 47, and the American Legion Post 30’s donation will allow the city to purchase t-shirts celebrating this grand achievement; and

WHEREAS, these t-shirts will be provided to the volunteers that will participate on behalf of the City of Lorain in the Lorain Memorial Day parade, the Lorain International Associations annual parade, and a host of other events that have been planned to celebrate America 250; and

WHEREAS, the City of Lorain, through its Safety/Service Director is hereby authorized to accept the donation of $1,500.00 for purchase of these t-shirts; and

WHEREAS, the City of Lorain desires to express its deepest appreciation for the generous donations from the Lorain County Veterans Service Commission, the AMVETS Post 47, and the American Legion Post 30.
