AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 266-74 WHICH ESTABLISHES CHAPTER 509.12 CURFEW- OF CHAPTER 509 OF THE LORAIN CODIFIED ORDINANCES
PURPOSE AND BACKGROUND:
SECTION I. CHAPTER 509.12 – CURFEW- which reads as follows:
“That it shall be unlawful for any minor, seventeen (17) years of age or under, to be or to remain upon any public street, sidewalk, alley, public grounds, or to be loitering about depots, public buildings, or other public places in the City of Lorain, Ohio, between the hours of 11 o’clock PM of the evening of any week day, and before the hour of 6 o’clock AM of the succeeding day, from Sunday to Thursday, inclusive, and between the hours of 12:30 o’clock AM and 6 o’clock AM on Saturday or Sunday, unless accompanied by a person of mature years and said person must be the parent, guardian, or person having the legal custody, and control of said child, or some adult person duly authorized by said parent or guardian to have control of said child.”
SHALL BE AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
CHAPTER 509.12 – CURFEW
