Resolution considering bids on Capital Improvement Project 11074; 2024 Resurfacing and Miscellaneous Sidewalks.
Recommendation/Action(s):
Adoption of the attached resolution.
Summary:
On June 21, 2024, bids were opened on Capital Improvement Project Number 11074. Three bids were received, with the low bid submitted by WW Blacktopping, Inc. of $1,156,974.75. The Engineer’s Estimate for the project was $1,191,086.55.
Staff recommends awarding the construction contract for Capital Improvement Project Number 11074 to WW Blacktopping, Inc. The contract has a final completion date of November 1, 2024, and construction is anticipated to start in July.
Staff and representatives of the contractor will meet with the property owners prior to construction to explain the work schedule, access to homes and businesses during construction, mail delivery, garbage collection, and other miscellaneous items of interest to the residents.
