With the 2024 planned replacement of the Buscher Park playground equipment, there was additional feedback given about the potential addition of a single volleyball court and the addition of a swing set. During the July 22^nd work session, the City Council reviewed engagement results, which showed 82 requests for a sand volleyball court and 151 requests for the addition of a swing set. With the high number of votes for each amenity, it was decided that the best way to move forward was to procure both the swing set and the volleyball court with an amount not to exceed $60,000 to complete both projects. The financial funding includes $50,000 previously allocated from American Rescue Plan dollars and an additional $10,000 of interest received from the ARP funds.
