Resolution determining adequacy of petition for Capital Improvement Project 11128, Shiloh Court Ravine Improvements.

Adoption of the attached resolution.

Due to the extreme amount of precipitation that was received during the spring of 2024, several slope sections along Shiloh Court suffered failure. These failures were along the ravine on the north side of Shiloh Court. Staff met with residents in the area to review the slope failures and determine potential improvements to prevent future slope failures and damage to homes. It was determined that some improvements that are needed would be on private property and would need to be funded privately. There are also improvements that need to be made to public property that would be complementary to the private improvements.  These improvements would be in accordance with the Surface Water Management Policy. The neighborhood provided a petition for public improvements with 100% of the property owners signing the petition.
 
With the adoption of this resolution, staff will begin the process of coordinating the design of both the private and public improvements. It is anticipated that preliminary design work will take place in 2025, with budget estimates developed for inclusion in the 2026 Stormwater Capital Improvement Program.
