Motion approving change order #2,
Summary:
The Facilities snow removal contract was last bid in fall of 2023 for the 2023-2024 snow season. In the contract, an option for (2) 1-year extensions exists if agreed to by both parties. This year would acknowledge the second of those two extensions. The work has been well done with positive reviews from members of the special service district. Staff decided to engage in negotiations with the contractor on a possible extension for the final year of the contract, which the contractor had agreed to.
Change Order No. 2
Change order number 2 includes an extension to the contract time. The contract would be extended for 365 calendar days with the proposed new completion date of May 12, 2025. The remaining unit prices are proposed to remain the same as the previous calendar year.
The original contract value was $1,079. The current contract value is $1,104. For historical perspective, below are the annual totals spent on snow removal for 2017-2024.
