Resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into a Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) with the South Central Minnesota Computer Consortium (Shared Records Management System).

CIS is a software management system that serves a group of Southern MN law enforcement agencies in records sharing and management. The software implements and maintains the joint Records Management System, Computer Aided Dispatch System, Jail Management System, and Mobile Computer System. This Joint Powers Agreement serves to establish the South Central MN Computer Consortium governed by the members of the Joint Powers Agreement. The Agreement allows each agency the ability to influence and operate equally as partners in the shared costs and management of the system. The CIS software system has been used by the Mankato Department of Public Safety since the year 2000.  This agreement has been ongoing for several years.
