Resolution designating Acting City Clerk per the Mankato City Charter, Section 3.03, Subd. 1.
Recommendation/Action(s):
Adoption of the attached resolution.
Summary:
The Mankato City Charter, Section 2.09, requires the City Council to appoint an officer of the City to serve as the City Clerk. The Council has appointed Renae Kopischke as the City Clerk. In the event that the City Clerk is absent or incapacitated, the Council has designated an Acting City Clerk. On June 24, 2024, Sheila Huber, Director of Human Resources, was designated; however, due to changes in the organization and the creation of a Deputy City Clerk, it is recommended that the Council appoint Jennie Guerrero, Deputy City Clerk, as Acting City Clerk.
