Presentation of Citizen Life Saving Award.
Summary:
The Mankato Department of Public Safety Award’s Committee was made aware of the following actions that took place on October 29, 2024:
A call for service occurred in the 900 block of Raintree Road involving an adult female who was choking. Upon arrival, Public Safety responders found the patient alert, conscious and breathing. Firefighters conducted a patient assessment until ambulance paramedics arrived and took over patient care.
Firefighters on scene learned that Citizen Trent Talle witnessed the female who was choking. Mr. Talle, who is also an Assistant Chief for the Eagle Lake Fire Department, went to the aid of the patient. He performed life-saving measures by using the Heimlich Maneuver until the obstruction had been cleared.
The Mankato Public Safety Awards Committee endorses a Citizen Life Saving Award to Trent Talle for actions that directly contributed to the effort of saving a person’s life on October 29, 2024.
