The City Council adopted a resolution at their January 27, 2025, meeting to set February 10, 2025, as the date of public hearing for consideration of Minnesota Investment Fund (MIF) and Job Creation Fund (JCF) applications to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED). The amount of funding available under the MIF and JCF programs is determined by DEED for each project. DEED notified staff on January 31, 2025 that DEED would support incentives under the JCF program for the projects, but not MIF. The MIF program requires a public hearing whereas the JCF program does not. It is requested to cancel the public hearing since MIF will not be utilized.
