Resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into a three-year Lease Agreement with Diamond Dreams, LLC and Northwoods League, Inc. for the use of ISG Field at Franklin Rogers Park.
Recommendation/Action(s):
Adoption of the attached resolution.
Summary:
Diamond Dreams, LLC and Northwoods League, Inc. hosted their first season of summer collegiate softball last summer, 2024. During the season, they named the team the Mankato Habaneros, and worked out the kinks of using the artificial turf baseball field as a softball facility.
After determining how best to operate, moving forward, the team decided to forgo the rental of the Caledonia Community Center for storage. The team is able to utilize existing storage space for all of their equipment needs.
Diamond Dreams, LLC and Northwoods League, Inc. have requested to extend the agreement with the City of Mankato by three years in the form of a one-year initial term and two available renewal periods of one-year each totaling three years under this agreement.
