Resolution authorizing application for the Bulletproof Vest Partnership Grant Program.

Adoption of the attached resolution.
Summary:
The Mankato Department of Public Safety requests to apply for a grant to participate in the Bulletproof Vest Partnership Program sponsored by the Federal Office of Justice Programs’ Bureau of Justice Assistance. The purpose of the grant is to reimburse jurisdictions for up to fifty percent of the cost of body armor vests. The request is for reimbursement of up to $14,400 for the purchase of eighteen bullet-proof vests.
