Resolution declaring surplus property and authorizing the City Manager to execute a donation to the All Seasons Arena Joint Powers Board.
Recommendation/Action(s):
Adoption of the attached resolution.
Summary:
With the reconfiguration of the Council Chambers nearing completion, the existing mobile furniture is no longer needed to support the function of that space. Staff determined it could be repurposed in the Minnesota Valley Room at the Intergovernmental Center to make the space more flexible for larger meetings. Due to this, the existing tables in the Minnesota Valley Room have been deemed surplus property and are no longer needed. A total of ten (10) stationary tables were located in this conference room.
Staff, as the operator of All Seasons Arena, approached the Joint Powers Board about a possible donation of these tables for the second floor ASA conference room. At their December 12, 2025, meeting, the board accepted the donation pending City Council authorization.
Staff recommends the Council declare the ten (10) tables, previously located in the Minnesota Valley Room at the Intergovernmental Center, as surplus property and authorize the City Manager to execute a donation to the All Seasons Arena Joint Powers Board.
