Motion approving renewal of the Consumption and Display (Bottle club) License for the Mankato Lodge #12 AF & AM, 309 South 2nd Street.

Motion approving application.
Summary:
A renewal application has been submitted by the Mankato Lodge #12 Ancient Free & Accepted Masons of Minnesota (AF and AM), for a Consumption and Display Permit (Bottle club). Such a permit, issued by the MN Department of Public Safety (Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division-AGED), authorizes an eligible establishment to permit the consumption and display of intoxicating liquor on the premises but does not authorize the "sale" of intoxicating liquor. Mankato Lodge #12 AF & AM intends to use this for private club use only and not for members of the general public.
Property taxes are current, and a background investigation of all persons and premises named in the application reveals nothing that would preclude the issuance of this license. A license fee of $300 will be set for deposit into the city's general fund.
