Set August 10, 2026, as the date of public hearing for a variance from Chapter 10, Article V, Division 6, Sec. 10-584 of the Mankato City Code to decrease the front yard setback from the code required 15 feet to 12 feet and to decrease the corner side yard from the code required 7 feet, 6 inches to 0 feet in the B-1, Community Business District, to allow for an updated façade with new finishes and a new exit door and related foundation (1028 North Riverfront Drive); by request of Dustin Lee.

Dustin Lee is requesting to set the date of hearing for a variance from Chapter 10 of the Mankato City Code to decrease the front yard setback from the code required fifteen feet to twelve feet and to decrease the corner side yard from the code required seven feet, six inches to zero feet in the B-1, Community Business, zoning district. The property is addressed as 1028 N. Riverfront Dr. 

The property currently has an existing structure that serves as the location for Pappageorge Restaurant and a future office tenant. The variance is being requested in order to allow for an updated façade with new finishes and a new exit door and related stoop. The building modifications will be to the north of the existing building. 

An administrative hearing will be held on July 22, 2026, to gain feedback related to the application.
