Report on Change Order 1 for Capital Improvement Project 11031; Public Safety Center App Bay Garage Door Replacement.

Summary:
In accordance with Section 2-8 of the Mankato City Code, the City Manager is to report as soon as practicable on change orders approved under $100,000. The following is a summary of change orders to date for - 11031 - Public Safety Center App Bay Garage Door Replacement
Construction began on the project in June 2025 and is now complete.
Change Order No. 1
Due to height clearance constraints, the City required high lift doors, staff were required to change from the originally City-specified 100,000-cycle springs to 50,000-cycle springs, resulting in a deductive change order. Due to extended lead times for garage doors, the substantial completion date was extended by the request of the contractor.
The total cost for Change Order No.1 was a deduction of -$2,200.00, less than 1% of total project cost.
The original project budget was $440,000; the total cost after change order 1 is $356,700.00 and within the original project budget.
