Summary:
As detailed in the 2026 Annual Budget, four heavy equipment units used in Public Works are scheduled for replacement this year. These units include two tandem axle dump trucks, one sign truck and one tree trimming truck. The total approximate cost is $1,211,000. The city staff has reviewed the equipment options provided by the state of MN approved vendor’s list. The units to be replaced are as follows:
Unit 5322 – Public Works
Unit 5322 is a 2013 tandem axle dump truck; it will be replaced with a like truck. The cost of the unit is approximately $318,000. The expected delivery is in the 1st quarter of 2027.
Unit 5323 – Public Works
Unit 5323 is a 2013 tandem axle dump truck; it will be replaced with a like truck. The cost of the unit is approximately $318,000. The expected delivery is in the 1st quarter of 2027.
Unit 5160 – Public Works
Unit 5160 is a 2012 sign truck; it is being replaced with a like truck. The cost of the unit is approximately $325,000. The expected delivery is in the 4th quarter of 2027.
Unit 5511 – Public Works
Unit 5511 is a 2012 tree trimming truck; it is being replaced with a like truck. The cost of the unit is approximately $250,000. The expected delivery is in the 3rd quarter of 2027.
Total approximate cost of $1,211,000.
