Resolution authorizing the application for the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Foundation Community Partnership Grant Program.

Adoption of the attached resolution.
Summary:
The Mankato Department of Public Safety has been invited to apply for funding through the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Community Partnership Grant Program.
The purpose of the grant program is to support community-focused initiatives throughout Minnesota. Eligible applicants may receive up to $2,500 in grant funding.
If awarded, the Mankato Department of Public Safety intends to use the grant funding to provide holiday meals to Mankato families in need by purchasing and distributing food to local families during the holiday season.
Staff recommend that the City Council authorize the Mankato Department of Public Safety to apply for funding through the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Community Partnership Grant Program.
