Summary:
Kody Schendel is requesting that the Mankato City Council set the date of public hearing to review a variance to decrease the rear yard from 66 feet to 11.2 feet in the R-3, Limited Multiple Family Dwelling District; to review a Conditional Use Permit to construct and operate a 16-unit congregate micro-apartment addition (1429 3rd Avenue).
Originally, the applicant intended to proceed with a review of the item at the September 14, 2026, City Council Meeting. Prior to the Planning Commission review of the item, the applicant requested the item be tabled to better align with the standards set forth in Mankato City Code. Revised plans have been submitted, and the Planning Commission will review the item on September 23, 2026.
