Resolution considering bids on Capital Improvement Project 11083; Transit Bus Stop Improvements.
Recommendation/Action(s):
Adoption of the attached resolution.
Summary:
On July 9, 2024, bids were opened on Capital Improvement Project Number 11083. Two bids were received, with the low bid submitted by Alliance Contracting, Inc. of $269,925.00. The engineer's estimate for the project was $245,853.00. Staff has secured the necessary additional funding for this project though the Federal Transit Administration.
Staff recommends awarding the construction contract for Transit Bus Stop Improvements to Alliance Contracting, Inc. The contract has a final completion date of November 1, 2024, and construction is anticipated to start in August 2024.
When the project starts, Transit and Engineering staff will coordinate with notifying riders of areas under construction.
