Review of 2025 Preliminary Levy and Fundraising Options

Summary:
For the last several months, staff have been working on their preliminary budgets for 2025-2026. On Friday afternoon, you will receive a copy of the Proposed 2025-2026 Operating Budget and five-year Capital Investment Plan. During the work session, an overview presentation of the 2025-2026 budget will be provided in preparation for setting the preliminary tax levy on September 9, 2024. The preliminary draft reflects a 3% levy increase.
As a follow-up to the July 8 work session, collectively we have formulated fourteen proposed community projects to be included in a future “Dream Sheet.” At the work session, staff will provide a brief overview of each proposed project to the City Council and collect any feedback that might be provided at that time.
