About the Photo Contest:
- Mankato’s City Calendar and annual Photo Contest engages community members and encourages residents and visitors to help showcase Mankato’s quality of life, spaces and places. This year’s theme was Angles of Mankato.
- First and second place photos are enlarged and framed, including an engraved plaque that credits the photographer, and placed in the Intergovernmental Center or public building.
- Winners are featured in Mankato’s 2025 print calendar.
- Everyone is welcome to participate by submitting original photos of Mankato.
- Since the photo contest is ongoing, people can enter photos at any time.
- Photos may be used in City of Mankato communication pieces, social media and on the City’s website.
- Mankato’s City Calendar is scheduled to be mid-December with the Fall/Winter edition of City News.
- Mankato’s City Calendar is a useful communication tool that features public meeting dates and locations, contact information, 24-hour service numbers and important key city service messages for community members.
- This year’s first-place winner receives a $100 gift certificate to the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center.
