Review Recreation Sponsorships

Summary:
At the October 28 Council work session, staff presented options for a recreation sponsorship policy based on feedback and data gathered. This recommendation also included a definition of which facilities would be impacted by this policy.
From this discussion, Council requested that staff reconsider specific details of their recommendation and return with new options that include opportunities for all recreation providers, how a third-party advertising agency might be able to handle these sales and how the development of a recreation grant from funds collected from these sponsorships might be implemented.
Staff have worked on this policy recommendation with these directions in mind, and are seeking a consensus on this recreation sponsorship policy to move forward with many of the association contract renewals in 2025. Staff have assembled a brief presentation that will be provided at the meeting.
