Resolution authorizing the purchase of three heavy equipment units previously identified in the 2025 Budget.

As detailed in the 2025 Annual Budget, three heavy equipment units used for street maintenance are scheduled for replacement this year. These include two Titan Leaf Machines, and one Pelican NP Sweeper with a total budgeted cost of approximately $660,000. City staff have reviewed equipment options provided by the state contract’s approved vendor and intend to make the purchase for a total cost of $650,229. The units to be replaced are as follows:

Unit 6019 – Public Works
Unit 6019 is a 2001 leaf vacuum machine to be replaced with a New Titan Leaf Machine. The cost of this unit is $176,309, and is expected for delivery by October 2025.
New Titan Leaf Machine – Public Works
This new leaf machine will be an expansion to the fleet to meet service demands, as approved in the 2025 budget. The total cost of the unit is $176,309, and is expected for delivery by December 2025.
Unit 6024 – Public Works
Unit 6024 is a street sweeper. The current sweeper is 12 years old and costly to maintain and is to be replaced with a new Pelican NP Sweeper. The total cost of the unit is $297,611, with expected delivery by May 2025.
