Request of Lime Township Board for review of the addition of Section 16 to the Lime Township Zoning Ordinance related to the adoption of a Recreation and Campground Ordinance.

The anticipated date of Lime Township Board action is June 10, 2025. 

The applicant is the Lime Township Board.

The applicant, Lime Township Board, is requesting for a reivew of the addition of Section 16 to the Lime Tonwship Ordinance related to the adoption of a Recreation and Campground Ordinance.

Lime Township Zoning Ordinance

Applicant shall provide documentation, and any necessary approvals, that the proposal conforms to the Orderly Annexation Agreement (OAA) between the City of Mankato and Lime Township.

The Lime Township Board is requesting for a review of the addition of a Recreation and Campground ordinance. Over the past few years, the board has met to discuss an alternative option for reclamation plans for areas that have been previously mined. The proposed ordinance addresses the permitted location of recreation and campground sites as well as the performance standards that each applicant shall conform to. 
 

Staff respectfully submits the finding that the proposed ordinance conforms to the goals of Lime Township Land Use Plan.

Staff recommends approval of the proposed addition of Section 16, Recreation and Campground Ordinance, to the Lime Township Zoning Ordinance.
