Resolution considering bids for 2025 Sealcoating.
Recommendation/Action(s):
Adoption of the attached resolution.
Summary:
On June 13, 2025, bids were opened for the 2025 Sealcoating project. Three bids were received, with the low bid submitted by Pearson Brothers, Inc. of $579,218.92. The Engineer’s Estimate for the project was $593,218.92.
This year’s area for sealcoating is generally bound by Stoltzman Road, Amos Owen Lane, Telemark Drive, Woodland Hill Drive and the Minnesota River.
Staff recommends awarding the construction contract for 2025 Sealcoating to Pearson Brothers, Inc. The contract has a final completion date of August 29, 2025, and construction is anticipated to start in July.
Staff will provide notice to the community when work is expected to begin once a schedule has been provided by the contractor.
