Resolution considering bids on Capital Improvement Project 11031; Public Safety Center Apparatus Bay Door Replacement.

Adoption of the attached resolution.
Summary:
Capital Improvement Project 11031, Public Safety Center Apparatus Bay Door Replacement, was advertised for public bidding beginning on July 25, 2025.
The project includes complete replacement of the existing Public Safety Center apparatus bay doors, including new overhead or lift doors with a quick door opener for ease of use and product consistency of maintenance schedules of all three fire stations.
Six bids were submitted by qualified contractors. Two bids were withdrawn by the respective bidders due to nonconformance with the bid documents. The apparent low bidder is Met-Con Construction, Inc. with a base bid of $358,900. Staff recommends awarding the base bid in the amount of $358,900. Funding will come from the fund balance in the Public Safety Building Capital Fund and will be executed through a budget amendment.
