Resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into an amended agreement with Affordable Towing for Vehicle Towing Services.

Summary:
The City of Mankato’s Vehicle Towing Services Agreement with Affordable Towing commenced on January 13, 2023, and is scheduled to terminate on January 13, 2026. The agreement contains a two-year renewal option with the consent of both the City and the Company. Affordable Towing has confirmed its desire to continue providing towing and impound services, and the Mankato Department of Public Safety has been satisfied with their performance throughout the current contract period.
An amendment has been prepared to renew the agreement for an additional two-year period, with the option for successive one-year renewals thereafter, unless either party provides a 60-day notice of termination. This provides continuity of service and an efficient contractual structure for ongoing towing operations.
