Resolution considering bids on Capital Improvement Project 10839; Public Works Center Welding Bay Exhaust Improvements.

Summary:
Capital Improvement Project 10839; Public Works Welding Bay Ventilation and Tool Replacement, was advertised for public bidding beginning on February 17th, 2026.
The work includes replacing the aging equipment that provides heating and ventilation for our Public Works Center welding bay. The project involves replacing electrical, exhaust fans, welding exhaust table arms, duct work, a Make Air Unit, controls and ventilation equipment serving the Public Works Center welding bay. The project also includes demo of all existing equipment and installation of new equipment to meet the manufacturer’s specifications.
Three bids were submitted by qualified contractors. The apparent low bidder was Craig Hertaus Construction with a total bid of $161,367.00.
Staff recommend awarding the bid in the amount of $161,367.00. Funding will come from the 2026 Facilities Capital Replacement Fund.
