Motion approving agreement with MJM Medical Director Consortium and terminating Medical Director Agreement with Mayor Clinic Health System.
Summary:
Due to the medical interventions utilized by public safety in emergency medical responses, it is desirable to operate under medical direction. Mankato Public Safety has had an agreement to receive Medical Director services with Mayo Clinic Health System (MCHS) since 2021. In 2025, it was determined that the department has a need for more accessibility to emergency medical training through a different source. The MJM Medical Director Consortium is widely used for first responder services throughout South Central Minnesota. It has been identified that MJM’s services will meet the needs of the Department of Public Safety. The cost of the service is $1,000 annually.
