Update on Amicus Brief

Summary:
Director Clifton and the City Manager have continued to work with our attorney on the Amicus Brief filing authorized by the City Council on January 26, 2026. This was an authorization for the City to submit a brief that is a document filed with the Court outlining the City of Mankato’s experiences as it relates to matters that are addressed in the case State v. Noem, et al. We understand that the next hearing on this matter is scheduled for May 7, 2026. As of the date of the meeting, the City’s Amicus Brief, has not yet been filed.
