Resolution amending the Penalty/Strike Matrix for Transportation Network Companies Licenses.
Recommendation/Action(s):
Adoption of the attached resolution.
Summary:
On July 24, 2017, the Council adopted an ordinance re Transportation Network Licenses, now known as Chapter 6, Article III, Division 5, and as part of the section related to sanctions, suspension or revocation an approved penalty/strike matrix was adopted on August 14, 2017. At the time the matrix was approved, half strikes were listed. Upon further review and discussion with the city attorney, it was determined that all strike matrices should be amended to eliminate half strikes from a tracking standpoint as well as the fact that they are not appealable. Attached is an updated matrix. Staff recommends adoption of the attached resolution re the penalty/strike matrix.
