2025 Year End and 2026 First Quarter Budget to Actuals.

Summary:
A report on the 2025-year end and 2026 first quarter budget to actuals will be provided along with an update on some of the Capital Improvement Projects.
Specifically, we wish to give the Council an update on the Air Traffic Control Tower project funding. As the City Council is aware, we were recently awarded $3.5 Million in Congressionally Directed Spending for the project. On May 18, 2026, the MN Legislature approved our request for $1.265 Million toward the local match on the project. On May 18, the City also received notice from the FAA on the status of our grant application for the Tower’s construction; we were awarded $5 Million. The total anticipated cost of the project is more than $26 million.
Staff are continuing discussions with our partners anticipating the Work Session Discussion on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
