Summary:
At the 6/8/2026 meeting, Council authorized staff to proceed with preparation of the feasibility report on Capital Improvement Project 11121; Long Street and Emerson Lane.
In preparation of the feasibility report development, staff held a community open house on 6/25/2026. Residents on Long Street were mailed an invitation. At the open house, staff presented 3 roadway alternatives for the Long Street corridor from Main Street to Madison Avenue. Residents were given the opportunity to provide feedback on which design alternative they may support. If residents could not attend the open house, staff posted a survey on Every Voice Mankato to gather additional resident feedback. The purpose of this item is to discuss staff’s corridor recommendation based on community feedback.
