Resolution to accept State Funds for the Airport Entrance Road Pavement Rehabilitation Project.
Recommendation/Action(s):
Recommend adoption of the attached resolution.
Summary:
The Mankato Regional Airport Capital Improvement Program (CIP) includes a state fiscal year 2027 project to rehabilitate the pavement of the airport entrance road including Airport Drive and Airport Lane.
MnDOT Aeronautics notified the City that it accepted the project and will provide 70% funding ($283,429), leaving 30% as local share ($124,470). Upon acceptance of the funding, a grant contract is prepared.
This is a two-part project, rehabilitating the entrance road in 2027 and full reconstruction of the asphalt parking lot in 2028 sequenced with the completion of tower construction.
