Motion approving Change Order 1 for the proposed striping improvements on Pohl Road.

Motion approving change order.
Summary:
In accordance with Section 2-8 of the Mankato City Code, the City Manager is to report as soon as practicable on change orders approved under $100,000. The following is a summary of change orders to date for the following project:
2026 Striping – Change Order 1
Staff have received concerns regarding high traffic speeds on Pohl Road between Jaycee Court and Glenwood Avenue. The Engineer recommends the re-striping of Pohl Road with white shoulder striping. Striping roadways with narrow drive lanes encourages traffic-calming and can reduce traffic speeds. The existing roadway striping along Pohl Road from Jaycee Court to Glenwood Avenue is a double yellow centerline stripe. The existing double yellow centerline stripe would remain in place, and 4-inch white shoulder lines would be added. No changes to the parking configuration would be made.
