2017 Operating Referendum Renewal Plan

The Board Finance Committee met in early March to discuss long-term budget planning and financial forecasting. As part of that discussion, the committee reviewed the option to renew the District’s current levy, which is set to expire on June 30, 2028. Legislative changes enacted during the 2023 session allow school boards to authorize a one-time renewal of an existing levy at the same amount and duration as originally approved, without returning to voters. Information regarding the renewal process was shared with the school board at the April Board meeting. Tonight we will review this information again and provide an opportunity for public comment before asking for the resolution to be voted on in the business portion of the meeting.

The Board Chair will open the public hearing for anyone who wishes to speak.
