Approval of School Calendar Change for 2020-2021
Background:
The 2020-2021 school year will require significant ongoing staff development to best meet the needs of students in an ever-changing learning environment. As we have worked through the summer on the three learning models that may be implemented, it is clear that the typical schedule of two hours per month of professional development will be insufficient as we work through the year.
At tonight’s informational portion of the meeting, Director of Teaching and Learning Travis Olson and Professional Development Coordinator Sarah Morrison presented a recommendation to modify the school calendar that will result in additional professional development time for faculty and staff during the school year.
