APPOINTMENTS (INSTRUCTIONAL)
Haley Shimon - Full-time, 1.0 FTEs Special Education Resource Teacher at East High School beginning September 29, 2020 for the 2020-21 school year.  She will be placed at step1 of the B lane on the Teachers Association salary schedule.
 
APPOINTMENTS (NONINSTRUCTIONAL)
Hailey Beer - ACES Child Care Assistant at Kennedy Elementary School for 4 hour per day/2 days per week beginning September 24 and ending June 4, 2021.  She will be compensated at the rate of $11 per hour.
 
Lauren Calahan - ACES Child Care Assistant at Rosa Parks Elementary School for 3 hours per day/5 days per week beginning October 2 and continuing through June 4, 2021.  She will be compensated at the rate of $10 per hour.
 
Zachariah Gabrielsen - Transfer from Evening Custodian at Eagle Lake Elementary School to full-time 8-hour per day Floating Day Custodian at East High School beginning October 5, 2020 and ending June 30, 2021.  He will be placed at classification A13, current step of the Maintenance and Custodial Workers Association salary schedule with an hourly rate of $18.01.
 
Kayla Haugen - ACES Child Care Assistant for 3 hours per day/2 days per week beginning September 21 and ending June 4, 2021.  She will be compensated at the rate of $11.50 per hour.
 
Megan Hawkins - ACES Child Care Assistant at Jefferson Elementary School for 4 hours per day/2 days per week beginning October 2 and ending June 4, 2021.  She will be compensated at the rate of $11 per hour.
 
Paige Hoff - ACES Child Care Assistant at Washington Elementary School for 4 hour per day/2 days per week beginning September 25 and ending June 4, 2021.  She will be compensated at the rate of $11 per hour.
 
Whitney Jackson - ACES Child Care Assistant at Bridges Community School for 3 hours per day/2 days per week beginning October 5 and ending June 4, 2021.  She will be compensated at the rate of $10 per hour.
 
Amanda Kuttner - Sign Language Interpreter with the Early Learning Program for 10.5 hours per week (3.5 hours/3 days week T/W/Th) beginning October 6, 2020.  She will be compensated at the rate of $22.50 per hour.
 
Paula Lanier - 4-Hour Day Custodian at Prairie Winds Middle School beginning September 23, 2020.  She will be placed at classification A13, step 2 of the Maintenance and Custodial Workers Association salary schedule with an hourly rate of $15.50.
 
Alexander Liebl - Special Education Resource Paraprofessional - classification B21 at Monroe Elementary School for 6.25 hours per day/5 days per week beginning October 8, 2020.  He will be compensated at the rate of $13.49 per hour in accordance with the agreement between the District and the Minnesota School Employees Association.
 
Tammy Prewitt - Distance Learning Secretary with the Teaching and Learning Department beginning October 5 and ending June 11, 2021.  This assignment is for 4 hours per day/5 days per week with a work-year of 195 days and 1 paid holiday.  She will be placed at classification B21, step 5 of the Educational Secretaries Association salary schedule.
 
Makenna Schliem - NonClassroom (Playground) Paraprofessional at Hoover Elementary School for 2.25 hours per day/5 days per week beginning September 28, 2020.  She will be compensated at the rate of $13.49 per hour in accordance with the agreement between the District and the Minnesota School Employees Association.
 
Jody Skorr - Transfer from NonClassroom (Lunchroom) Paraprofessional to Receptionist at Dakota Meadows Middle School for 8 hours per day/5 days per week with a work-year of 190 days and 5 paid holidays beginning September 30, 2020.  She will be placed at classification A13, step 5 of the Educational Secretaries Association salary schedule.
 
Nathan Smith - ACES Child Care Assistant at Hoover Elementary School for 4 hour per day/2 days per week beginning September 24 and ending June 4, 2021.  She will be compensated at the rate of $11 per hour.
 
Paula Ziebarth - Districtwide Health Care Resource Nurse - classification B23 at West High School for 7.25 hours per day/5 days per week beginning October 7, 2020. She will be compensated at the rate of $22.37 per hour (step 4) in accordance with the agreement between the District and the Minnesota School Employees Association salary schedule.
 
CONTRACT ADJUSTMENTS (INSTRUCTIONAL)
Annette Fischer - Increase in assignment from 1.0 FTEs for 171 days to 1.0 FTEs for 191 days for the 2020-21 school year only.
 
Pam Kibble - Increase in assignment from 1.0 FTEs for 171 days to 1.0 FTEs for 191 days for the 2020-21 school year only.
 
Don Krusemark - Increase in assignment from 1.0 FTEs to 1.083 FTEs for the 1st semester only of the 2020-21 school year.
 
CONTRACT ADJUSTMENTS (NONINSTRUCTIONAL)
Andrew Cress - Change in assignment from Health & Wellness Paraprofessional at East High School to Special Education Student Success Coach - classification B22 for 3.25 hours per day/5 days per week and Special Education ASD Paraprofessional - classification B21 for 3.5 hours per day/5 days per week for a total of 6.75 hours per day/5 days per week at Prairie Winds Middle School beginning September 22, 2020.
 
Chloe Graif - Decrease in assignment from 18.5 hours per week to 15.5 hours per week with the decrease from 4.5 hours per week to 1.5 hours on Tuesdays as a Regular Education Paraprofessional beginning September 22, 2020.  This is in addition to her assignment as Special Education Paraprofessional for 14 hours per week.
 
Kaitlyn Helfter - Decrease in Special Education Early Learning Paraprofessional assignment from 14 hours per week to 10.5 hours per week (3.5 hours/M,T,Th) beginning September 28, 2020.
 
Hani Nur - Change in assignment from NonClassroom (Playground) Paraprofessional at Monroe Elementary School to Special Education Early Childhood Paraprofessional, Level 3 - classification B21.5 for 14 hours per week (3.5 hours per day/M-Th) beginning October 5, 2020.  She will be compensated at the rate of $14.26 per hour in accordance with the agreement between the District and the Minnesota School Employees Association.
 
Tammy Ochs - Change in assignment from Special Education Resource Paraprofessional to Student Success Coach - classification B22 at Monroe Elementary School for 6.25 hours per day/5 days per week beginning October 8, 2020.  She will be compensated at the rate of $17.89 per hour in accordance with the agreement between the District and the Minnesota School Employees Association.
 
Leisa Rahm - Voluntary change in assignment from Special Education DCD Paraprofessional/NonClassroom (Playground) Paraprofessional at Franklin Elementary School to Special Education Resource Paraprofessional - classification B21 at Kennedy Elementary School for 6.25 hours per day/5 days per week beginning September 29, 2020.  She will be compensated at the rate of $14.26 per hour in accordance with the agreement between the District and the Minnesota School Employees Association.
 
Susan Seys - Decrease in Regular Education Paraprofessional assignment from 16 hours per week to 14 hours per week (1.5/M, 3.5 T, 3.75 W, 3.25 TH, 2 F) beginning September 25, 2020.
 
Hailey Showers - Continue as ACES Child Care Assistant Substitute at Kennedy Elementary School for varied hours beginning September 22 and ending June 4, 2021.
 
Tyler Sorenson - Change in assignment from Special Education Student Success Coach to Health & Wellness Paraprofessional - classification B22.5 for 7.25 hours per day/5 days per week (3.25 hours per day at East and 4 hours per day at Prairie Winds)/5 days per week beginning September 22, 2020.  You will be compensated at the rate of $17.39 per hour in accordance with the agreement between the District and the Minnesota School Employees Association.
 
Chelcy Wangen - Increase in Health & Wellness Paraprofessional assignment from 6.25 hours per day to 7 hours per day/5 days per week (3.75 hours per day Dakota Meadows/0.25 hours travel per day, 3 hours per day at East)/5 days per week beginning September 22, 2020.
 
Khatera Yaqubi - Decrease in assignment as Regular Education Paraprofessional from 9 hours per week to 6.5 hours per week (Monday 2 hours, Tuesday 3.5 hours, Friday 1 hour) beginning September 22, 2020.
 
REQUESTS FOR SALARY LANE ADVANCEMENT (INSTRUCTIONAL)
In accordance with the terms of the agreement between the Mankato Teachers Association and the District, teachers have submitted their requests for salary lane advancement.  Each of these requests has been reviewed and a list of those qualifying for salary lane advancement for September of the 2020-21 school year is shown below.  The salary lane advancements will be retroactive to the beginning of the 2020-21 school year.  The Administration recommends that the Board approve the salary lane advancements.

REQUESTS FOR LEAVE (NONINSTRUCTIONAL)
Maribeth Marso - Extend Board approved leave, returning to work November 2, 2020.
 
Mary Nichols, EL Paraprofessional at Hoover Elementary School, has requested a leave under the provisions of Family Medical Leave Act commencing on October 1 and returning to work November 2, 2020.
 
Cynthia Weir, Student Success Coach at Washington Elementary School, has requested an unpaid leave beginning September 21 and continuing through November 12, 2020 in order to accept the position of Hybrid Long Term Substitute Teacher.
 
RESIGNATIONS (NONINSTRUCTIONAL)
Nancy Benson, Special Education Paraprofessional at West High School, has submitted her resignation for retirement.  Her last date of employment will be October 14, 2020.
 
Jonathan Franz - District Grounds Manager.  Last date of employment October 9, 2020.
 
Jonathan Karels - Special Education Student Success Coach at East High School, effective at the end of the 2019-20 school year.
 
Haley Shimon - Student Success Coach at Dakota Meadows Middle School, effective as of September 28, 2020 so that she can accept the position of Special Education Teacher at East High School.
