2021-22 School Year Property Tax Levy Hearing
Background:
Included with your Board materials this evening is the 2021-2022 school year Mankato Area Public Schools tax levy recommendation. The counties have mailed a notice of proposed property taxes to all property owners. Under state law, the District must conduct a public meeting to receive citizen input regarding the levy proposal. As part of the public meeting, the District is required to review its proposed 2021-2022 tax levy and its current budget for school year 2020-2021. The School Board is scheduled to take final action in regard to the 2021-2022 tax levy at the School Board meeting on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 5:30 P.M. via Zoom.
Recommended Action:
The Board Chair will open the public hearing for anyone who wishes to speak.
